Jubilee Chen

Jubilee Chen is an avid performer, educator and community advocate based in Boston, Massachusetts, who is passionate about cultivating the intersection between music-making and social change. Originally hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, she earned her Bachelor of Music Summa Cum Laude at Miami University under the tutelage of Dr. Harvey Thurmer. In undergraduate, Jubilee served as concertmaster, and performed the Barber Violin Concerto as a concerto winner with the MU symphony orchestra. An active chamber musician, she has held principal roles with the Morpheus Chamber Ensemble and has participated in Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, Montecito International Music Festival, and Luby Violin Symposium. Jubilee has taught students of all ages via private studio and music academy, assisted in youth music camps, as well as founded a music camp and student chamber ensemble. Jubilee was awarded as an inaugural Fellow of Artistic and Social Change at Longy School of Music where she is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree under Paula Majerfeld.
